Surfing Mikan

Mikan is enjoying the spring days. He likes being outside, touching grass, playing with tree limbs, and picking flowers for his momma. He also enjoys surfing in the backyard.

We think we have the first trached one year old, who sleeps with a ventilator, in Indiana, on a surfboard, ever. Mikan insisted that since we didn't use the furnace all winter we should splurge on a surfboard for Lake Michigan fun.

What an adorable picture! Did you buy the surf board just so you could take it? Admit it.

I know this is old news...but I just can't get over how cute those glasses are!!

Also, I think I read before that you guys get 1st Steps' services. How do you like it? Has it been a good experience?

Hi Jenna-- Dr. Barrett thought it'd be a good idea to have First Steps come out to eval Quinn. Parker's crawling everywhere, pulling up on things, etc. But Quinn is kind of doing the army crawl, not making any attempt to pull up on things, and isn't able to sit himself up from being on his back or his tummy. Add to that the fact that now it seems like he's starting to get frustrated. So, we'll see what they say when they come out...

What a stud muffin. With those glasses, he pulls off the brain child/surfer boy look very well. Its like he saying "hey ladies, I'll show you a good time at the beach, but I will also engage you in intelligent conversation."

I think you're right, he has to be the first. I just read your posts from the past week and I think it's wierd that they're blaming reflux since he had a nissen. Ava's on prevacid and it helps, but it has never lessened her airway problems. She had an impedance proble done, so I'm interested to find out the results.

I'm thinking of you all. Have a great Mothers Day, Jenna!
